CrawleX

Extracts clean, structured data from any website on a schedule you set — pricing, listings, catalogues and competitor information.

The problem

What it exists to fix.

Somebody in the business is copying data off websites by hand. Competitor pricing into a spreadsheet, listings into a document, product details into a catalogue.

It is slow, it is error-prone, and because it is tedious it happens weekly instead of daily — so decisions get made on data that is already stale.

The alternative is usually a developer script that one person maintains and that breaks silently the next time the source site changes its layout.

What it does

Capabilities.

Scheduled extraction

Runs on the schedule you set rather than when someone remembers, so the data is current when you look at it.

Structured output

Clean rows and fields ready for a spreadsheet or a database, not a scrape you have to clean up afterwards.

Handles layout changes

Maintained extraction rather than a script that fails quietly when a site is redesigned.

Multiple sources

Several sites into one consistent output format, so comparison does not require reconciliation.

Change monitoring

Alerts when a watched value moves, which is usually the actual reason for collecting the data.

REST API and webhooks

Data flows into your systems automatically instead of arriving as a file someone has to import.

Who it is for

Fit.

Best fit
Businesses making decisions on data that currently arrives by manual copying
Common uses
Competitor pricing, product catalogues, listings, market research
Industries
Ecommerce and real estate most often
Not a fit for
Sources behind logins or protected in ways that make collection legally or technically inappropriate

Questions

Common questions.

Is web scraping legal?

It depends on the source, the data and how it is used, and it is a question worth taking seriously rather than assuming.

Publicly available factual data is generally lower risk than personal data or content behind a login or terms that prohibit it. We will not set up collection against a source where the legal position looks doubtful, and we would encourage you to take your own advice for anything borderline.

What happens when the source website changes?

Extraction is maintained rather than left to break. That is the main practical difference between a product and a script somebody wrote once.

How often can it run?

[CONTENT TO VERIFY — confirm minimum scheduling interval and any rate limits before publishing.]

Can it extract from sites requiring login?

Technically sometimes, but this is where legal and terms-of-service questions get serious. We treat it case by case and will often advise against it.

Want to see it running on your site?

We will set it up against your actual traffic rather than a demo account, so you can judge it on real enquiries.
